hoppes #9, balisol , acetone and atf, all do nothing for copper
some people worry a lot about copper and some don't
it has a lot to do with what they shoot and round count
if you shoot a 30-30 you might do copper twice in your life time if that
if you shoot a 6mm prc you probably do copper more often , it might be every 500 rounds in either but not a lot of 30-30 get shot 500 rounds a year
more velocity usually means more copper
I haven't tried this product
there are several of the two part sprays like this out there now I haven't really tried them as I still have bottles of bore cleaners that I have used
I use a lot of Hornady One shot cleaner with dry lube this works great on the plastic guns to hose out the carbon , no copper to worry about in my 9mms fed coated lead
no copper in my shotguns
no copper in my 22lr , and no oil keeps them from gumming up collecting carbon as well as they run very well in the cold.
Hornady one shot aslo doesn't touch copper
the really nice part about one shot is there is no need to flush it out , when the carbon is done running out of your glock lower your done no flush , no oil ,so it is fast
this is part of why I use it
on the Club 22lr guns I can hose them out run a bore snake a few times and put them away till the next event it is 3 minutes a gun and when your doing a bunch that adds up.
it also has very little smell and does a great job of corrosion protection.
with shotguns you need the acetone component in the barrel from time to time to clear the plastic fouling.
I find many of the oils 3 in 1 , atf, breakfree CLP ,wd-40 motor oil. , they get sticky after time and in my pumps I can feel this sticky in the action this is why my pump guns are also all running hornady one shot in the action again it is fast and easy.
what you use has a lot to do with what and how you shoot.
