Is that a pellet smoker? If so, I think you've severely overestimated Savell's approval rankings.
You might even get called a Yankee for this.
Just give me one thing, that I can hold on to. To believe in this livin' is just a hard way to go.

Oh I'm fully aware of Savell's stance on pellet smokers, this is purely stirring the pot lol
Yes it is a pellet smoker He only says that cause he knows that rickety porch contraption he built wouldn't stand up to the weight of that smoker. He would have to stack a bunch of sun dried possum tails underneath for reinforcement.

I haven't made a bad thing yet on the pellet grill. Easy as heck to use and monitor temps and not hard to get good smoke flavor. If you are smoking with wood in an offset smoker you are just stubborn I've got better things to do than babysit the smoker the whole time its cooking
Gotta live up to the nickname...

Things to do while smoking food with wood like its supposed to be done. Unless of course you think water and floor sweeping sawdust pellets are better cause you were raised at walmart. Turn your wife on with your masculinity play sports with someone you have a chance of beating tend to your fire cooked lunch check on the guest house cause family is coming over take your vitamins
Those who would give up essential liberty, to purchase a little temporary safety, deserve neither liberty nor safety. Benjamin Franklin (1706-1790)

There are 7 categories of cooking outside: campfire, grilling over charcoal, bbq over charcoal, throwing some wood on charcoal to smoke it a little, smoking it in a wood smoker or smokehouse, burning it on a gas grill, or baking in a pellet oven. I bbq generally, campfire, smoke, or grill occasionally, always with charcoal and wood, never with gas or pellets. I'm just not a gassy pellet kind of guy like the North Easterners.
