Congratulations on finding new oldstock

What would I do to them? Just curious. I like to leave things stock, if legal.

Why do I carry 10mm? Because shooting twice is just silly.

Couple more pictures. I am 6’2” and 230 pounds. I can stand on this trap and not compress the springs. If I put all my weight on one side, the spring will compress.

How much can the steel really cost to make a trap? I know steel is expensive but it still has to be a small amount of the total cost on a higher end trap like a 4.5 sc.

laugh I'd like to see it done that way. There may be someone who could do it but I don't know who they are. You can't break the springs over the corner of the frame, same as the old Newhouse traps.

I love mine and was told by a smart person who I thought knew what he was talking about not to step on the springs because they are short and you can weaken them. I got a simple setter for each side that makes it easy. I added lams and pit pans with a night latch and I like them better.

I believe these are #4 double long springs being set by hand over his knee. It's on the alaska wolverine/wolf trapping thread.

My Super Wide will pull your broken down 4 stroke, up a hill backwards, with you on it!

Way different than setting the 4 1/2. The base extending past the end of the frame will not allow you to break them like that over your knee.

Yeah that’s a stronger man than me!! No way I can do that.

I’ve still been thinking about laminating some of these that are coming. But I really don’t think it’s gonna be necessary. Might night latch them, if they aren’t already. But I like the original pans. Just look cool to me.

IIRC, swatting at it with your purse helps a bit smile (priceless...... thanks ADC)
These may be different, but watch the second setting. The guy isn't even watching the trap, he' looking at the camera till he sets the latch/pan height.
