I used some today at a bobcat set for the first time ever.
I got to reading that it sounds like it works pretty good.
I could be wrong but it doesn't seem to take much at a set whereas with other kinds of fish oil I tend to use more

Yeah it sure has a strong smell. I didn't put very much out at all. In fact I think the instructions on the bottle say like one or two drops. I thought it was odd when it came in a 1 oz container, but then I got to reading the instructions on the bottle. And I saw some old posts from The Beav saying it works good on Bobcat.

Yeah, use it as just an attractant, don’t pour or drip it over bait. Learned the hard way on coons in DP’s. I just use fish oil now. I was using a killer coon bait made with cat food, fish oil, honey, and red fox urine. I started making it with shellfish oil and it quit being a good bait. It never occurred to me that it could be the shellfish oil. I’ll go back to fish oil and see if it goes back to working.

True uncut shellfish will hold up. Having said that it is probably one of the most messed with ingredients out there. Vegetable oil along with other things are popular diluting tricks. Especially when buying bulk amounts like pints and quarts I advise to know your source well. Said : the wise old owlGood advice
