I have to wonder if any of the badger will go to the fur market, of if they will all go to the tourist trade.

I would guess that most the wolves go to the tourist trade too?

Taxidermy I believe, if they’re buggered up during skinning the value drops significantly. I got mine skinned/tanned to keep for myself, but my taxidermist said he’d charge $100 to properly skin it all out for me.

Do taxidermists collect them, or do they sell them to the tourist trade?

In the auction catalog, what’s dressed fur at the bottom for today? Tanned?

Dressed fur is tanned fur.

walleyed's skunks did pretty well.

Had 2 skunks in the top lot (Lot# 180001) at $29.00 each.

My Low skunk was (Lot# 180024) at $3.50.

The overall average for my stinkers was $15.83. laugh

Mink & Coon were a disaster.

None of my mink sold.

Coon average was $2.11 with a high of $10.00,
a low of .50 Cents with 7 others unsold. Brutal !!! frown

So a lot here would be 300032, string would be 300032-35.
Lot 300032 would have 29 large/medium damage hides. And the price they’re talking is per pelt in the lot?

I was a little surprised how cheap the dressed fur went too. Boco I'd be curious what the dressing costs are relative to retail? A lot of that fur sold cheaper than what a trapper would typically pay to get it tanned.

quite a few bear/big game outfitters get them so their clients can go home with one Manitoba has it so you can shoot one wolf under a un-used tag

What were the lots in the 80's and low 90's on dressed fur?
