Grand daughter and one of her friends is outside eating them now. Seems early but there is some black ones already

They're ripening here too Danny. It is early for here. Squirrel season opens the Saturday before Memorial day in Mo. and they aren't usually then.

DANNY,
Ours are just budding. We are always about 5 weeks or so behind Kansas. [Linked Image]

Back when we had a spring bear hunt, you could eat every barry and mushroom you could think of.
Miss them days

We already picked about 10 lbs, and will probably pick another 10 lbs this week.

Mine has been making a mess for 3 weeks. Picked a few, ate a few, now just waiting for the birds to clean them up so I can use the tree to hang my dipped traps.

mulberry makes an interesting wood. Green when sawn turns a dark chocolate brown as it ages in the sun/air.
otherwise its an invasive weed that is eradicated on sight in my place at least.
