Our country and to a certain extent the world is only as strong as our President.
We had a strong one but now , as the whole world can see...we have an inept one.
There comes a point liberalism has gone too far, we're past that point.

Most of China's oil and food comes from 6000 or more, miles away by ship. If China actually does attack Taiwan, they won't be receiving any more oil or food by ship and millions and millions of Chinese will be dead in less than a year. China's large cargo ships will be totally destroyed by the US and our Asian allies.
Keith Then ther get the oil from Russia

Buying up most of the farmland here as well, doubt they will go without a thing. China won't do a thing anywhere till they are convinced it's the right time, they have a bought and paid for U.S. President so doubt they are very worried about us. Our military is wearing dress's and learning new pronoun's while they are building new air craft carriers left and right from money we pay them monthly on our debt, which we keep increasing like spoiled college kids partying on daddy's credit card.

Keith Then ther get the oil from Russia Most of the oil China gets from Russia is carried by ship, through nonprotected waters. There is only 1 Russian/Chinese pipeline and it's 1336 miles long through mostly wilderness, so there is plenty of places for happy accidents to occur. Keith

Keith Most people in America under estimate the enemy and over estimate the US power. Yes we could do everything everyone says we'll do to China and Russia but they can and will do that to us too. We tucked our tails between our legs against a bunch of sheep herders and left billions of dollars of modern weapons and ammo for them to use. Vietnam was a 3rd world country supported by China, we tucked tail and ran there too, allowing millions s of South Vietnam civilians to die at the hands of North. Korea was another fiasco that we were involved in. It's not that the US military cannot win, we lose because the civilian population and the government does have the guts to win. In order to win you have to kill as many of the enemy as you can. In today's world most of those enemies ain't wearing uniforms. I fear we will be in a shooting war with China not from choice but because this president is corrupt as well as inept What scary is what you have written is totally correct and not taken into account by the vast majority of Americans who forget the conflicts we have lost, all of which can be traced not to the fault of the military or their abilities but to lack of support from the populace Major tenet from Sun Tzu is that to win a war you first have to win the support of the common people for it without that you have already lost

A shooting war with China on our on shores would unite the people. I lost my brother to their biological attack but I'm not the only one. Many Americans have experienced such loss and like me wouldn't mind getting a pop shot off at those commie (This word is unacceptable on Trapperman). Also for those on our own shores who funded/perpetrated this event, one never knows what can happen in the 'fog of war'.

J Stanton, that was our biological war. Your tax dollars funded it. I could care less about Taiwan. I would bet it is just another money laundering operation. How long has that been going on?

The eastern humid side and sub-humid middle parts of China (which is about the the size of the U.S.) produces large amounts of rice, wheat, corn, pork, and poultry. If you think you can starve out China by a blockade, you are either ill informed or smoking too much dope. As for petrol, agreed that the Chinese don't have much for petroleum reserves but they have plenty of coal deposits and people can make synthetic oil and thus fuel from coal. Just ask the Germans during WWII, and h***, they mostly only had lignite and not heavier carbon bituminous.

I have many friends from China and what they tell me about him is that he is a nut. Also non pc fed I have been there too and do agree that china has alot of foods, although no idea if they can feed all their people. I really really like parts of China.. Along with the hoards of fish they are illegally taking from Philippine waters the past 8-12 yrs(illegally)i might add

Ill take a wild uneducated guess along with the rest of ya, There's a deterrent or China would've invaded along time ago. The question is, is it food, oil or the U.S. and other NATO members not buying their junk and thus crashing their economy? Whatever it is, its kept them at bay.

Or maybe they saw how our weapons, even in the hands of untrained soldiers sent Russia packing. Well,so far so good...BUT. I lived on an island down by China and of course in Subic bay for yrs. We use to see chinese vessels regularly along with us navy ships hauling in artillary etc. It was a bit of a rush at times.

Mostly the latter, with a sprinkling of the other two.
