Going back as far as I can for my age. First was ozone layer. Then came acid rain. Then the ice caps were melting and everything was going to be under water. Then climate change aka global warming. What else do you guys remember?

When I was a kid, age 6 and in the first grade, (1955, LOL) We had Bomb Drills, and were issued dog tags in case of a Nuclear war, and everyone worried about radiation fallout from the testing.

The 1st one I remember was Al Gore talking global cooling in the late 80's. Seems like it's hard to find on line but I think he was on the cover of Time magazine.

Don't worry. A huge EV battery plant is being built in De Soto. New roads are under construction. Scientists are going to provide the electricity by voodoo. Magic symbols will be etched into the vehicle roofs which will charge batteries indefinitely. That same voodoo will be used to turn all homes total electric.

I remember reading about the coming ice age in the Weekly Reader when I was in grade school.
I also remember reading about how Howard Hughes was going to mine the sea floor with the ship that he was building. The Glomar Explorer.

At the sound of the alarm bend over with my head on my knees facing the wall and kiss my hinder parts good by. In the mean time at the cafeteria clean your plate, kids in China are starving.

I remember in the 80's a great Ice age was coming and the Great lakes were all going to freeze solid. I also remember that the scientists got Millions in Tax dollars to research it. I remember Al Gore and his Global warming then changed it to Climate Change so it could not be Disproven.
