Too many fat people are still full. When people are hungry, they will change their minds. Until then we will still have half the population who thinks things are good.

How long you think it will take for Oprah to be the only fat woman?

The bigger picture is being miseed, and you actually commented on it......no major oil companies bid on the now closed leases.

This goes back to my original statement, this should cement their (major oil companies) investment outlook. Why should they bother in new areas when this trap is happening?
I'd have their attitude towards it too, SUFFER.

IMHO No oil company is going to touch ANWR, because it is a political football that goes back 40 years. Even the oil companies are pretending they are environmentalist these days.

What was the signal sent when Biden approved the Willow Project and blew off the environmental wackos?

The willow project is well along. Even your post uses a picture of already set up camps from 4 years ago.

Big difference in canceling a new lease to one already developed.

That's what I said. Especially leases that were bought by the STATE who was probably looking to sell them to uninterested oil companies.

BTW None of this will effect fuel prices in the near term if ever.

P.S. The willow leases are in development, not developed.

Might as well shut more down if it won't make a difference.

Guess that's why we're not the CEO's of oil companies.

The gougers are at work like normal over media hype. Gas prices jumped $1.10 over night…not an exaggeration! I had to rub my eyes, take another snort of coffee and do a double take on my way into work this morning!!
