1st grade Mrs. Shermans class. Watched the news on TV in the classroom before we got sent home for the day.

Ironically I was at the Albany Ga 911 Center installing a circuit when I heard screaming from the operators in the center. I dropped what I was doing and ran to the screams. Apparently security heard them as well and we arrived at the same time. Once we entered all they could do what point at the TV and kept asking “what’s going on, what’s happening??”

I honestly don’t remember if we even finished up the circuit. My coworker and I left there and went to go to his house to watch it on TV. It was a flood of emotions for sure.

On a flight from Reina Sophia on Tenerife to Hamburg via Barcelona. The planes went into the towers while I was on the stretch from Barcelona to Hamburg. By the time our plane landed the airport there was crawling with military and border protection folks in APC's etc. then once inbound planes all landed they shut the country down as far as air travel went. The only open airport for a week after that was Berlin. So I had to drop of my hire car back in Hamburg after my 3 day stay, then pick up another to go to Berlin to fly back to Tenerife. I have not been on a plane since then

I was a couple hours from home doing a bat inspection on a residential property at the time. I went in to watch a little bit of history on the TV of the customer. Finished my business and went back to work.

although our plan was to stay put in our house , if need be on the chemical and flu stuff I would live in the room above the garage , finished room with electric just not water and let her and the baby stay in the the house and not leave.

I was working alone building a fireplace for a customer. His house was near an arrival/departure flight path of the Lehigh Valley International Airport and I actually noticed the silence, the lack of air traffic.

My wife called me and told me what happened. I went out to my work truck and turned on the radio.

I initially thought we were under attack and about to be invaded. I thought maybe there'd be enemy paratroopers arriving shortly. I armed myself, figured I go down fighting. Then called my wife back. I told her to get the kids out of school and get home ASAP. I cleaned up the work site and left for home myself.

Was at work and we had a computer with internet in our work area. Not much got done that day after the news of the attacks started.

Have friends that work very close to an air base, they said they didn't know anything until their plant shook. Apparently when F-15s take off 4 at a time, it make s a LOT of noise. They thought WWIII was starting. Lots of planes in the air very quickly.

The sad part is we as a country still protect and do business with the country that was really behind the whole thing. Saudi Arabia.

New York State Republican primary at the
court house in Pulaski, N.Y.

Sign on the door said: primary cancelled.

Asked the poll worker why and she said that
Governor Pataki had cancelled the primary.

Asked her: "why he would he do that" ?

She said: "You really don't know what's happened" ?

"The twin towers in NYC are gone by a terrorist attack" !!!

Working at a cement plant running a loader boss came told me i was down i n qurray.

I was in a training class in the western part of North Carolina with the US Marshall’s Service.
The AG for NC stopped the class and made the announcement that the first tower had been strict by terrorists with a hijacked airliner. He directed us to report back to our jurisdictions for further.
I stopped in Raleigh to get gas, very little traffic on the interstate, no aircraft at all flying, Remember the clerk at the gas station crying her eyes out.

Was doing a aerial antelope count for fish and wildlife down on the oregon Nevada line. Had to land in burns oregon

Watched tv with my students. We had a grown uo discussion about the consequences.
