Don’t see any of that here in my area. Business as usual.

Hey, thanks for the tip. Hadn't considered Amazon as a source for bait. Appreciated.

Keith

That's just what I do, drive a couple miles and check the next dollar whatever store
Ours are usually stocked up, maybe because they're rural. And yes sometimes it looks like a bomb went off in them. Seems like they have a large crew that goes to each store every couple weeks and stocks heavy and cleans up the mess. It gets that way because they usually only have one or two people working and they just can't keep up with stock and running the register

... and standing around smoking outside in the parking lot.

Went over to the local Wally World and prices were exactly triple what I used to pay at the Dollar Store. RIP Dollar Store.

I've tried the packets of tuna. They aren't nearly as good as the canned kind, seemed more mushy to me.

Yes sir RIP the Dollar in general

We got 3 bags of basic food products two days ago at Walmart 55$

I can't afford food anymore. We live with our folks, and grandparents. If it wasn't for them we would all be on some govt assistance program that gives us free food. I've never don't that and don't plan on it, but things haven't been great the last 16 months.

I work for Walmart as asset protection at the moment. Catching people all the time just stealing small stuff some of it food, and they just can't afford anything anymore. Retail is headed to the septic as the dollar crashes with record inflation.

Wild times.

Good thing most of us can feed ourselves from the land if we need to

Our dollar general still has the stuff but it's all about doubled in price the last couple years.

Right now I’m having amnesia and déjà vu at the same time. I think I’ve forgotten this before.

The cans at Dollar Tree, if you can find them, are now subject to shrinkflation. They are 10oz cans instead of 15oz and they are $1.25 now, not $1.00, same as everything there.

There are some name brand things I just won't buy anymore. $6 for a bag of Lay's or Dorito chips. Not happening. I get the sales ads from the grocery stores and shop accordingly.

The dollar tree near me is always well stocked (on the shelves), clean and staffed with competent employees. The dollar generals are decent but tend to be kind of dirty. I don't know where the nearest family dollar is anymore. Seems like they have all gone out of business around here. There is one storefront down town where one was 10 years ago that is now being remodeled and it looks like they are putting in a family dollar/ dollar tree combo.

Dollar General has been building new ones like crazy around here. The ones ive been in are clean and stocked. The one closest to me is old, gross, understaffed, ane have giant carts blocking every other isle. Theyve recently been limited on hours they are open. Im guessing they pay less than every other place in the area because most of thr employees they do actually get are likely the very bottom of the hiring pool. The amount of cigarette butts along the store after the snow melted was something to behold. And they stayed there for weeks.
