Laz, you talking about the Dollar Tree or Dollar General? They're all the Buck twenny five stores now! Many folks have been doing their regular grocery shopping there nowadays, hence the empty shelves.

Never fear, Amazon is here!!!! I can get 12 of the 15 oz cans delivered tomorrow for $22. Still an increase in my cost of production, but still pretty cheap. Hey, thanks for the tip. Hadn't considered Amazon as a source for bait. Appreciated.

Why don't you just walk 50 feet across the parking lot to the next Dollar Store, Dollar General, Anything for a Dollar, It's All a Dollar or the other similar stores. Rural Ohio has dollar type stores on the edges of most every tiny town and random large intersection.
Keith
That's just what I do, drive a couple miles and check the next dollar whatever store Ours are usually stocked up, maybe because they're rural. And yes sometimes it looks like a bomb went off in them. Seems like they have a large crew that goes to each store every couple weeks and stocks heavy and cleans up the mess. It gets that way because they usually only have one or two people working and they just can't keep up with stock and running the register ... and standing around smoking outside in the parking lot.

Went to the Dollar Store today to buy some of the items I typically buy for fall trapping season. Things like canned Jack Mack, the 1 pound chub of salt, and sometimes they had these small boxes of Borax. Not anymore.
The one food isle in the store was decimated. Where there used to be a variety of canned goods, there is now only a few scattered little envelopes of food items instead. Cans of tuna have been replaced with little envelopes of tuna chunks. The shelves used to be full of all sorts of soups, vegetables and fruits. No more. Dang, lost my source of cheap lure and bait making materials.
Went over to the local Wally World and prices were exactly triple what I used to pay at the Dollar Store. RIP Dollar Store. I've tried the packets of tuna. They aren't nearly as good as the canned kind, seemed more mushy to me.

Yes sir RIP the Dollar in general We got 3 bags of basic food products two days ago at Walmart 55$ I can't afford food anymore. We live with our folks, and grandparents. If it wasn't for them we would all be on some govt assistance program that gives us free food. I've never don't that and don't plan on it, but things haven't been great the last 16 months. I work for Walmart as asset protection at the moment. Catching people all the time just stealing small stuff some of it food, and they just can't afford anything anymore. Retail is headed to the septic as the dollar crashes with record inflation. Wild times. Good thing most of us can feed ourselves from the land if we need to

Our dollar general still has the stuff but it's all about doubled in price the last couple years.
Right now I’m having amnesia and déjà vu at the same time. I think I’ve forgotten this before.

There are some name brand things I just won't buy anymore. $6 for a bag of Lay's or Dorito chips. Not happening. I get the sales ads from the grocery stores and shop accordingly.
Life ain't supposed to be easy.
