Don’t buy one. The price of diesel drops when it ain’t being used, yes?

They don’t want 4 - 10 hour shifts, they want 4 - 8’s then be compensated like they work a 40 hr week plus a giant bump in pay. Joke!

I love it. Been on it for 8 years now. It’s an extra day to spend outdoors. Or if there’s not much going on, get all your running/chores done on Friday and at least enjoy two days off. It has came with accepted overtime though. We did work a 60 day straight stretch a year ago.

I don’t get sent to them often and they don’t come along very often. Did a whole summer those hours once and I loved it. Friday was used to make up for a rain day if that happened.

Boy you sound like a big govermt kind-of guy. Maybe you would prefer communism everyone gets paid the same in that system. May be a good system for you.

Have you priced trucks they are allready that high. You can't seem to comprehend trucks made in Mexico with cheaper labor an no benefits cost the same as trucks made here with good benefits and pay people can live on. Just a little less money goes in the top guys pockets. You know the guy that come in at 9 has meetings at the Goff course and take a lot of 3 day weekends. Ya the guys like me working up to 97 hrs weeks and mostly 16 hr days and getting forced when I finally decided to take my days off off. Ya we are getting paid to much better cut my health care coverage and increse the cost for the reduced coverage so they can get a few extra rounds of golf.

You exposed yourself now your a statist and like goverment limits and caps and controls. But only if you think it will benefit you. You also can't seem to address exactly what i just brought up in this thread that has been brought up more than once. Even though you allready answered that trucks are price they are becuse people will pay it and that of course trucks made in mexico are not cheaper. Yet you try to act like labor cost are the reason truck are the price they are. You would rather see the rich geting more and the working people being keep in their place. There are many like you it's OK just good to know who they are.

I don't care what the CEO of ford,Chevy or dodge make!. If you have a skill then your pay should reflect your skill set
.
The ones on the line should get 20 and be happy f or they have no skill set to sell. You think you know nothing about my person pf .

You have an option either buy it or let them sit , if you are so naïve that you think the only labor cost is what the assembly line worker makes in the price of that vehicle you are totally wrong . I suggest you get down to a striking plant and cross the line and show them how it’s done remember you’re above a monkey ,Back to vehicle price if no one buys any trucks or cars because of the price the price will come down to sell inventory. Partner you need to stick with what you do for a living and buy a vehicle brand that is non union at the cheap price from say Toyota because they are top notch vehicles even though I’ve never owned one . But please Guss make sure the Toyota or whatever you buy is at least assembled in the USA so one of our American workers can benefit from the sale

I'm no union fan but those guys on the line are worth more than 20. Especially in today's job market.

I think he was turned down the job as assembly line worker in the past and has held a grudge every since. IMO I want a properly trained assembly line worker to make sure each part of the vehicle is assembled properly for my family and mines safety. How do expect a man to raise a family on 20.00 an hour. Everything from property taxes to food is thru the roof. A man works a job to maintain or get ahead in life. Not be a slave his whole life.

Ford has more recalls than any other car maker. So I wouldn't say there All that safe.

Recalls are usually a design problem, it seems.

one thing I never did understand was why unions advocate for Big Government.

seems like that would be counter-productive to their "pay us and WE will provide a better/safer work environment" schtick.

(if .gov gives these protections to everyone, why pay union extortion?)

and my reasoning must be sound, because union membership (except in government) has been falling steadily...seems folks are catching on.

Most people enslave themselves by the debt the agree to take on. They get a raise and buy more stuff instead of saving it and growing their wealth. Higher wages don't fix bad financial behavior.

I’ll agree 100% with you on that one. I was just factoring in the cost increase on the necessities and property taxes.

I agree most people would be shocked. My employer gives to both parties by a large sum. Play both sides of the aisle so to speak. I just don’t feel like there is a dividing line in the aisle anymore. Like George Carlin said years ago. “It’s one big club and we aren’t in it. “

Maybe that man should go to trade school and learn a trade.
