To gain a strays trust, you must rub your nose against theirs. Helps if it is on video also.

When I was a kid an old Indian guy that lived near our deer cabin had one of those as a pet he would sit outside and hold it in his lap petting it all the time the thing was growling and snarling horribly at him

As far as I could tell he still had all his body parts and no scars, still and all to a 8yo kid that was about the most scary thing I had ever seen

i have reached down and opened traps to let them loose without using a catch pole

thats not a puppy its a badger kil it before it kills you!

You would be much better off going hand to hand against a badger than a coon. You can find video's of guys grabbing badgers and walking off with them, but you never see anyone doing that with an adult coon. It is pretty easy to tell the guys that have never messed with badgers.

Hand raised from birth they are nothing like the wild ones their momma must be a mean parent. Guy around here raises and sells them every year.
