Take the slack out on the top and bottom and nail the sides as close to the edge as possible. A 53 lb beaver should fit easily. Maybe your scale is wrong?

I would think a 50 plus pound beaver would be a XXXL or super blanket?

It takes a big one to fill a standard board, I have a 48”x48” board with a couple extra circles, don’t think I’ve ever used the bigger rings. Yeah, I remember you had a MONSTER last year!
Act like a blank, get treated like a blank. Insert your own blank!

Most of my boards are 32" wide sheets of plywood. Pretty rare beaver that won't fit. I catch quite a few 60# plus beaver every year and they fit on there. We are talking oval Canadian rings right?

I’ve had a 63lb beaver just fit on the regular board. The 56lb female I got earlier in the fall was a bit slack, but the 55lb female just fit perfectly on the outer ring. Weird. I’ve got a bigger board that I forgot I had, I’m using it as a table for my knives n stuff. Some beaver are smaller but are just shredded, others are just fat

Minz, it sounds like you're stretching your beaver round? In that case you need a 48" wide sheet. For those of us that do the Canadian stretch (oval) 32" boards handle just about anything you'll catch.
