Btw,section 5 is the remedy for section 3,and clearly says CONGRESS can enforce these provisions,not a state court. That's a reasonable argument, except Section 3 concludes: "But Congress may by a vote of two-thirds of each House, remove such disability." The specific language of Section 3 would control over the general in Section 5--in my OPINION. So Congress's only power, by two-thirds vote of each House, is to disregard the insurrectionist disability. Jim Sure!

I am still amazed at how hysterical some of y'all get anytime anyone questions or criticizes Trump.
A cult indeed. But you also sound like battered wives. Deep down you know he shouldn't hit you, but he's the only one who says he loves you. Suggesting that the FBI should be eliminated, just because we have some partisan political hacks running it now, is a bad idea. No more than we should scrap the USA just because we have some dopes running it as well. In stead, it is time for a thorough house cleaning of both. Start at the top in both instances and most of our problems go away. Exactly. Eliminating the FBI is as rediculous as defunding the police, and we have seen how that works out. Cull the bad apples not the entire agency.
