I've never really seen a cabinet made like that before. Nice project. Good job.

Project COMPLETE! I took some advice and got a rubber mat for the floor. It should help. I'm not super happy with the way the stain came out, but it was expected. I never have much luck with cheaply constructed plywood. Even if I seal it first. Well, it's only a work bench after all and one heck of an improvement. Everything in the "before" picture is now put away and has a home. I have room to work and a bench I can beat on. Overall, I'm happy with the results. It will outlive me, I'm sure. Here's the final pictures of this project:

Nice job! On the rare occasion that I get enough time to clean one of my shops I enjoy the feeling for a few days. I prefer to be organized over chaos, but its hard for me to stay on top of it.

I agree with everyone else, nice job! What did you use to cover your countertop?

Thanks, It's 3/16th hot rolled plate steel. I tossed a coat of wax on it to keep it from rusting.

I was just wondering because it looked like formica and I was just going to ask. Nice job for a trapper!

Is that open hole under the grinder for a garbage bin?

That is for a small pancake compressor. My lathe is off to the right in the pictures. I use it a lot for that. I do have a larger shop compressor that is piped into my main shop and the garage but I didn't run a main line into the tool room. It's a nice hiding spot and I can grab it when I'm doing a project in the house or for friends and have to travel.

You need some rest. How about a new electric recliner. Also good for naps.
