I agree with sniper--make your own mounds. By doing this, you are creating an interloper into the area. Don't be afraid to make several sets in the area, Castor mounds have been my number one beaver taker for many years. Tom

My experience is you're better off making your own. X 2 Have seen it twice and both times caught one and it went graveyard dead.

I usually steal the mudpie that's there and replace it with one from another location or make my own. Probably 90% of my sets are on top of another beaver's fresh mudpie.
My fear of moving stairs is escalating!

I wouldn’t bother making a mound. I just set a trap and put a little castor behind it. It’s that simple.

My experience is you're better off making your own. This^^^ I did this added new mud to the pile and added a little castor lure. Bang the first nigh had a good size male. Is it possible for others to visit this spot or should I move the set?

Yes, remake the set as others will check it out as well.
I'm just happy to be here! Today I'm as young as I'll ever be and and older than I've ever been before!
