Finally, put in the rest of my garden today. The veg menu this year is tomatoes, pole beans, sugar snap peas, parsnips, kale, lettuce, cukes, butternut squash, jalepeno peppers, cilantro, basil, sage and rosemary. It's a tiny garden, but we try to make the most of it!

Behind here with several issues. Rotor tilled the secound garden today. That is where all the set plants go. At home a couple spuds just poking through and same with peas. Onion plants look pretty good.

We transplanted tomatoes, peppers, squash, cauliflower, and broccoli, outside yesterday. At that time the lowest temperature it show was 40. Now they show 35 two nights. I run 6 to 8 degrees colder than what they say. I was happy we were two weeks ahead of last year. Now I wish I would have waited.

I am impressed by the photos of the gardens and the amount of work and materials many of you utilize. I am mostly a till the dirt, plant, weed and harvest guy with very minimal other structures, planters etc. I have to do a lot of weeding but then the exercise i not bad for me. Mostly planted after yesterday. Some pumpkins, squash and some later corn, carrots etc. to put in, but will be a while as we finally got some rain with severe weather warnings right now.

Everything in and up. Pumpkins, squash & melons at ranch, all got hail and not sure any will survive since most were taken at ground level. Cukes, beets, spuds, melons, tomato, peppers at home are looking good.

Got everything in a few days ago. Got 3" of rain yesterday and hope things didn't get washed out.

Common sense is a not a vegetable that does well in everyone's garden.
