No cherry tree but I guess they could be elm. Don't know of elm here in this area though but maybe they are. There are choke cherry patch about a mile away. If you break the small branches, they don't smell like choke cherry either.

The leaves in the first picture look like Ash to me.

Doesn't look like any elm but could be ash.
swampgas chili and schmidt beer makes for a deadly combo

Thanks all and I'm thinking ash also with what I have looked at they seem to be ash. How they branch off of man trunk like ash also. Thank You all.

Green ash.First to go to sleep and last to awake . common in se Mt Yep, exactly the ash trees here in my yard (mature) are just starting to cluster leaves just like those now. The trunk and how they branch are typical of ash and leaf pattern points to ash.

Prolific What ever they are they have taken over alot of ground hear. The locals call them Chinese Elm or Ash.
