A still, cold snow covered moon lit night
And rootbeer floats

The smell of burning piles of leaves in the Fall. The smell of a fresh-cut Christmas tree in the house. Coming in from a cold hunt to the smell of a good dinner all cooked and ready to go. Fresh bread.

We have feel, taste, smell, hear, and see. I find it interesting that so many simple pleasures are related to smell.

If read the sense of smell triggers more memories than any other sense

Hearing geese migrate South in the dark after the first cold snap.

Smell of a musty, rutting buck that you ain’t seen yet.

First gobble in the AM, 10 min before you thought you’d hear one.

Wood ducks hitting the water 5 min before shooting time.
