What are you trying to accomplish with that heavy of an insert? Instead of having such a forward-heavy shaft/broadhead combination, I'd favor shooting a thicker-walled, heavier shaft.

I shoot magnus stingers with gold tip shafts I would suggest using the spine weight for your bow . Archery pro shop can really help you out . If your hunting deer it doesn’t take much to kill one Pigs actually Actually still testing different spine weights 350-500 honestly not seeing a don't of difference in 15yd Grouping, well at least right now , I'd really need to cut them all down and get them weighed the same I feel to really get a good test.. the 500's seem to just high higher though

If your hunting deer it doesn’t take much to kill one This and when I wanted more weight it was when the boys were shooting low poundage, short draw lengths and carbon arrows are lighter than aluminum I used to shoot when I was a kid and I worried about enough umph hiting the deer. I had the shop add 100 gr inserts and went with 125 gr muzzys. Full pass throughs at 45lb and 26" draw light with Carbon arrows on indiana deer were the results. Not sure why you want to go so heavy? Wanting to get 100fps or shoot through 3 deer in a line. Seems like really need in to lob them in. Maybe it's a traditional bow thing?

Gonna be playing with the high FOC stuff for a bit. Idk seems to make the most sense for what I wanna do but don't worry arrows will be heavy think one so where looking are like a 9.1 gpi ? If I calculated everything out right I should have close to a 675 gr arrow 27" arrow. Honestly after seeing with a 1000gr on does im a bit tickled to try building one of those buuuut thats a bit much an something for later on down the road... I still need to get my feeders up

I think you'll find a better transfer of energy from a heavier, slower arrow vs. a lighter, faster-shot arrow.

So many different tuning methods I'd would drive a guy nuts....well normal people I guess I find all of it pretty fun ...in a pull your hair out kinda way lil thought though now that I'm thinking about it, don't think I've ever seen read guys paper tune kinda odd now that I think about it

How do you find your center shot if you don't paper tune? As far as my compound.... Well just fiddled around with my rest till my arrow got my target with now left or right tail kick ![[Linked Image]](https://trapperman.com/forum/attachments/usergals/2024/08/full-34110-225918-img_20240620_184102805.jpg) Think this was at 40 ? All look good to me..no paper tuning or anything like that. Jua running that rest around

Paper tuning is one of the last things to do, you will be able to hear it with your shots when you are at the point to do so- this will come when you build the appropriate arrow. There is a harmony between the arrow and your bow. However, tuning is pointless until you develop consistency. It will be a very frustrating and a losing battle until you get to that point. Paper tuning is what you do when you set your bow up ain’t it? Like add the rest and shoot to get everything right? Bare shaft then vanes? Maybe y’all are talking something different than what I’m thinking of.
