They should call them cross guns not cross bows. I am not against them but I wish they had a separate season….
Crossbows aren’t “scary” but they’re darn powerful and I know for a fact some imbeciles that abuse their power. It isn’t against everyone

Wisconsin remains at the top for the most B&C and P&Y bucks. That's impressive when you realize that is only bucks that were officially scored. Many, many more killed there that are not scored....just like in other states.

They are still archery equipment. They aren’t guns and they are still a short range method of take. I think your issue is that the hunters that use them should become more efficient and practice with the legal method that they have chosen. I say the same thing about the orange army that goes out for rifle season and only handle their firearms for a week or so per year. Those rascals.

I don’t use a crossbow because I think they are heavy and loud. But, I’ve had new hunters that I have taken out that have used them and have been successful.

But, they are a decent method of take for those that choose to use them and choose to become proficient with them.

Yeah, I heard VA is a terrible state to hunt deer. No bears there either.

Truth - State motto is Virginia is for Lovers. Says nothing about deer.

Y’all do Y’all. Nothing to see here.

Texas but very little public ground. X bows wound many deer because people think have scope and just like gun. I bought one for late season doe harvest and rated for 425 fps. Took me much research and work to get shooting 2" groups at 60 yards.
