The Big 10 went 17 and 1 the first week, 2 and 1 against Power 4 teams.
I got myself a seniors' GPS. Not only does it tell me how to get to my destination, it tells me why I wanted to go there.

Does anyone else think that it's strange there is 18 teams in the Big 10?
Keith I thought it was strange when they went to 12 teams. The Big 12 now is composed of 16 teams. These leagues are no longer the same. Going downhill in my opinion.

Keith There was a time when the Big Ten had 12 teams and the Big 12 had 10 teams. That was the strangest.

How did Penn State look to you against WVU yesterday , Nittany? Going into that game Penn State was favored by 8 and I think a lot of people were thinking WV could pull off an upset. Penn State has a new offensive and defensive coordinator. The offense really looked good, wide out was a question mark and they had a couple wide outs that played a great game. Last year the big play plays were almost non existent, against WV they had plenty of them. To me, they looked better than I expected them to look.

NIL deals has talent spread out among more teams while the smaller schools now have even less to work with. It is all a big money making joke now. No school loyalty and your best player's will probably get a better deal at a different school next year so no reason to be a fan of any particular player anymore either. Sad times in this country.

Yes it is, ISU was fortunate and didn’t lose many if any to the portal, not sure though, I think there needs to be more regulation on the NIL money but that may not happen, ISU did well against North Dakota which was expected but North Dakota had some really bright spots as well like the drive that took 20 minutes they just couldn’t score.

Florida State lost their second game of the season, they can kiss the playoffs goodbye. Boston College beat them last night.

I agree . . the NIL plus the ease of transferring now has more or less ruined college football . . used to be you had to sit out a year if you transferred but not anymore . . all about the $

Local run business with long history of supporting college football now running TV ads with owner making a fool of himself rapping with one of the players.........who no doubt he gave a lot of money to appear in the commercial with him. Others showing up in endorsements on TV ads, billboards, etc. All of it a form of legal bribe to get them to this school. Probably been going on forever, but now legal and out in the open for all to see.
But process on display demonstrates the big donor schools will be able to buy the best players. NFL doesn't even allow that as they have a draft to gain rights to players. College ball has no draft. Root hog or die.
