Ate a kangaroo tail in the Outback. Tail had hide and hair and was thrown in a small fire. Hair burned away. Tour guide shredded some meat with a fork. Thought is was greasy but OK.
Have toured Cambodia, Viet Nam, and China. Always try to eat local food assuming it is refrigerated, free from flies, and cooked properly. If it swims or crawls in the ocean there is a good chance I have tried it. The kangaroo tail sounds about like porky pine. Had it cooks on an open fire quils hide and all, then the char was shaved of. Good flavor but greasy and chewy.

Rattlesnake and Ramen noodles. MMMM! Carp. And, some stuff in the 'Nam, I don't know what it was, and really don't want to.

I have eaten a LOT of different animals. Only one I would have to literally be starving to eat is coyote. Some surprised me on goodness. Horse and gar come to mind first.

X2 Hard to find anymore. The one butcher shop sa6s they do some at Christmas but that's it. Young people won't eat it When I was younger,,any time we butchered a hog,,we hung it by hind feet and I would cut it to let it bleed out.An old Polish woman that my father knew would come out to the farm and put one of them old galvanized wash tubs under the hog.She would catch all the blood,AND then all the guts,,heart,, kidneys,, liver, everything. We would cut the head off and that went in the tub also.Later she would give us a little brick of head cheese and some blood sausage. The intestines she would rinse out and use to stuff the sausages into. She let nothing go to waste.I liked the head cheese.Any time we would put a whole hog on the spit(usually a smaller younger one) when it was done,, we would crack open the skull and put the brains on crackers.Tastes like smoked fish.Theres not much I havent eaten at one time or another.
