About 25 years ago one night when WWF was in town, we were hanging out at the local strip club. Undertaker, the Godwins and a couple others were all sitting at a big table, each had their own escort. After a few shots I got the courage to walk up behind Taker, tap him on the shoulder and asked if I could shake his hand. He stands up and we shake hands, he really is a big dude. Then the other wrestlers stick their hands out and I shake em but didn’t really care. I turn around to go back and there’s a line up of guys behind me….lol Super nice guys. I had to tell the wife that one though. Very cool

My brother, cousin myself and Prince hunted squirrels in downtown Minnetonka Mn with slingshots. Can’t tell if you’re pulling my leg or not, but if not, you win. Nope, truth. However, I could give 2 craps about being friends with anyone " famous". Long as they are humble/ down to earth, not bragging about thier fame/ fortune I'll treat them like anyone else. Ain't a single person special in my eyes.

I don't watch Tv or go to movies if someone famous would walk by me, I wouldn't recognize them anyway. People talk about this famous person and that one I have no clue who most are.
I never met anyone famous that I know of.

Outside of rodeo stars (8 time world clamps & my boy hangs out with the son of a man with 6) I've met a few celebs and sports stars. Karl Malone & Toby Keith (RIP) were cool cats and would visit with a guy and even ask him questions like you do a new acquaintance. Rick Perry wants to know about any trophy buckle I wear to a church function.

Admittedly I think the 3 I mentioned wanted to know more about the broncs and the bulls than they did about myself LOL

For years I did discounted guide rates for the surrounding county fairs by me. A lot of the money taken in supports FFA and 4H. So it was a way to give back. A lot of acts went out for just 2 or 3 hours as time to relax and chill before a show. Through a lot of pro staff obligations, I flew all over the country for grand openings of Cabela’s, Bass Pro, Reddings, sportsmen warehouse, and so on. Some “celebrities “ just rushed in/out like they were someone important. Most would hang out in the employees break room between autographs and just be down to earth good people.
For the decade I worked as a manufacturer rep in spring/fall goods, had a few I worked with. I still carry the pocket knife Zach Brown gave me. Met just about everyone you see on the Discovery Channel reality shows at SHOT Show. They are a big draw. Dave Turin and Freddy from gold rush are awesome people. Hoffmann…well worse in person.
The absolute worst experience was the kids from Duck Dynasty. If Phil would have seem Willie and Jason pushing and cussing at people in the isles at Shot Show, he would kicked both those boys in the sack.
My absolute favorite is Ted Nugent. He lied in a video about using an optic on his bow and I asked him about it at the Milwaukee Sports show. Saw it in an editing glitch. We played it back in slow motion and you could see it. He went absolutely nuts and wanted me thrown out. Years later, I guided him on a local lake. I couldn’t resist and brought it up. I enjoyed the entertainment value of it

In September of 2016 I helped Congressman Don Young unload a lawnmower out of an airplane and into the back of his 1980 something pickup truck. This was in Fort Yukon, we had a good conversation about the upcoming election.
