I met Davy Jones of the Monkees and the other members of the band. My wife worked for a bank that he dealt with and gave her tickets to a concert with a back stage pass. I shook Wilt Chamberlain's hand the night he scored 100 points against the New York Knicks in Hershey, PA.
I got myself a seniors' GPS. Not only does it tell me how to get to my destination, it tells me why I wanted to go there.

As a union stagehand since for over 40 years I've met and worked for many big named personalities to many to mention without forgetting some of them .
Tom Cruise was one of my favorite people to deal with even if he wouldn't play pool against me .
Christie Brinkley was one of my favorite ladies I've met .

I've met and talked (briefly) with Ronald Reagan, Billy Joel in the parking lot after his bus rolled up prior to a concert at the college I was attending, Bill Laimbeer from the Detroit Pistons, Ted Nugent at an NRA convention, Larry Potterfield from Midway USA Tom Miranda ( I guess he's kinda famous! lol), Jim Harbough, now coach of LA Chargers, was the coach of U of M football when I met him, Doug Koenig, 20 time Bianchi Cup champion, super nice guy!, Quite a few other people in the outdoor industry that we as hunters, trappers and fishermen consider "famous" but the general public probably doesn't. (I guess Tom M and Doug K probably fit in that category)

I was in Arizona back in the 80's visiting my cousin. He said "you listen to Alice Cooper". I said sure I like a lot of his music. He told me that's his next door neighbor. We went over and said Hello. I hardly recognized him without his makeup and stage clothes. What a nice guy. He sent me tickets and backstage passes to his next concert and me and my cousin went. I had a blast. He was a real down to earth kind of man.

Have meet a lot of famous people over the years Greg Gagne was my dads cousin and was here a lot when I was a kid along with a lot of those other old time wrestlers, never could fall into all the TV pretend bad blood shown on the tube because it was a hard sell when you had them sitting around the house drinking beer half drunk singing dirty songs together
Hubert Humphrey was also a cousin of my dads and my little brothers god father he also Got after the VA when my dad started getting sick back when he was governor and they didn’t want to provider him with benefits he deserved
Met Rod Carew, Tone Olivia and several other players but the best was Kirby Puckett who I meet coming out of Abbat NW after he had his eye injury, my mother who was a huge fan was in the same hospital (why I was there) and I went up and asked for his autograph and he went up with me to her room and sat and talked with her for over an hour about baseball and gave her an autograph personally hugging her and wishing her well, made what w e didn’t know were her last few months the best
Seems I am related to several other famous people so have meet them and have worked in the service industry for a good many years a well, most of them were great people a very few were not and some were just odd

Was playing gold at a local club. We got to the 7th or 8th hole and caught up to the guys ahead of us who were waiting on the guys in front of them. My friend goes "I know that guy from somewhere. Where do I know him from/" It took us until the 10th hole before we realized it was Alice Cooper. Like was said above. Very cool dude, and a heck of a golfer. When we were loading our bags in our car this fella walks up and hands us 8 tickets and backstage passes to his show at a local fair. I didn't tell my wife, only that we had scored tickets and a special surprise. We were sitting backstage when he walked back and started talking to us. Our wives were star struck. His daughter was on the tour with him as the nurse for his "kill/suicide" parts of his show. My wife asked her how she liked being the daughter of him. She looked at my wife and said "How many daughters do you know that would take a grinder to their crotch region for their dads show?" She was a hoot.
My dad when I was about 6 or 7 caddied at a local club for extra money. He came home and said I was going with him the next day. We got there and the golfers came out and picked their caddy's for the day. This shorter fella walked up to my dad and said "you're mine for the day." He then told my dad to go get his clubs from his car. He didn't like having a caddy that didn't play with him. They ended up playing 36 holes that day and my dad never carried his clubs. I kept asking my dad if that was who I thought it was. He would just smile, but not answer me. Between rounds we went to the club house so the guys could drink a few and I would eat. He asked me what I wanted. Told him a burger and fires. He told the waitress to get me a burger and fires and to put it on his tab. She goes" No problem Mr Palmer." My dad said my face was priceless when I figured out he was caddying for Arnold Palmer. Then was really shocked when I realized the other guy was Jack Nicklas.
I've met most of the Steelers as we only lived about 29 minutes from training camp in the 70/80's. The only one I really got to talk to was Tony Dungy.

My wife is an artist and did a lot of shows in the Hamptons, she met a lot of them. Alan Alda, Jane Seymour, Diane Sawyer and a bunch of others, some bought her paintings, She said Alan Alda was very nice, and Diane Sawyer wasn't, lol, my daughter taught Jane Seymours grand daughter and met her at school functions, Rod Stuart bought a summer home by us and we saw him at a school concert once, but he moved on.... My old man was at a rest stop restroom and was standing at the urinals with Johnny Cash, they exchanged pleasantries, but the old man had no clue who Johnny was. He finally figured it out when he saw the tour bus in the parking lot.....

Ok fine- I'll spill the beans- I've had supper with Gary Lephew, bucked 3 yr olds with Donny Gay, and hauled a fairly expensive horse for Cody Ohl and his business partner. Gerald Roberts made a pair of chaps for my son and way back when, Jim Shoulders put his hand on my shoulder. Of the guys my age or just older I have met and personally know Tuff, Ty, Gaffney, Sharp, Morales, and way too many more to name. Lane Frost was a good dude but so was Brent Thurman & Glenn Keeley- all gone but none forgotten.
The list of young guys that my son competed with is a who's who of the current standings and last 5 yrs of NFR & PBR finalists so I don't have enough thumb wind to list them out. BUT I can say that myself enlisted Jess and Ty Popes parents along with Trey Holstrom's dad and formed up the youth roughstock association that got them all to their first national competition. Koltin Hevelow's parents knew it was a good thing and drug their boy across state lines so he could come along too. Good ppl and we still keep in touch.
I cannot even remember all of the top hands I met back when I judged some bull ridings it would be a long list. And the list of bull fighters and barrel men (clowns) would be an impressive who's who in the world of pro rodeo and PBR celebrates.
