Nothing but bad things about the new Toyotas coming out huge engine recall on the Tundras with shaving left in the blocks from machining, then only the 4 cyl is available on the Tacomas making them a grocery getter now. Before pulling a medium trailer with the V6 was maxing it out and the milage was single digits.
Not a truck out there I’d buy for the prices they are asking and the garbage they are turning out now with moving operations to Mexico it’s a losing deal all around.

I bought a Ram "classic" this spring for 41k once the extras were on it like towing package, bed liner, and Hemi V8 engine. Regular cab, 8' bed and it'll do 21mpg. Towing I'm sure will drop that a bunch but it has more than enough power to tow whatever you wanna hook to it.
There comes a point liberalism has gone too far, we're past that point.

Best two trucks Ive owned was a 2001 & 2003 GMC Durmax with the LB7. After the initial injector issues, we swapped out for Cat filters (Stupid engineers - OEM 7-9 micron filter and a <3micron injector hole). Put 600K+ on the 01 and 500+ on the 03'. If it wasn't for the dang salt this pathetic state uses and the city dwellers that demand it, those two trucks would probably still be going. 2010 and 2012 both had bad steel in the crank shafts and they puked. Running a dodge 3500 with the 6.7 Cummins. Runs ok and plenty of power, but feels like Fred Flintstones car going down the road. I use my trucks and there is no truck I can find at a reasonable price I would go in debt for. well over 40K for a Toyota gasser with a mini bed - Glorified grocery getter. I don't know one person that uses their Ford truck without crapping themselves that its gonna blow. GMC has cheapen just about everything on theirs as well. Gas engines with any substantial use and your luck to see over 200K miles - Ridiculous! Try to find a crew cab 2500 with 8' bed????
But in all fairness to the automakers, thank your gov't. The brilliant officials we elected keep passing BS regulations to make the performance worse. The math I was taught back in the dinosaur days says that if your reduce emissions by 15% and need to burn 40% more fuel to do the same job, you're creating MORE emissions. Then, lets subsidize corn with millions of tax dollars to create a gas and bio diesel that gives you 30-50% less MPG????? Its scary to think that the level of stupidity in this country continues to grow and nearly 50% of the population has no clue or just wonders aimlessly as lost sheep. People need to smarten up soon and dump ALL these career politicians that suck your ability to live. ok, rant over

Why would it require burning MORE fuel to reduce emmisions? Pure ethanol requires 30% more fuel to create the same heat energy as gasoline, but of course we don't run pure ethanol.

My mechanic says the ecoboost are fantastic, but when they break he says they are very costly to fix.

Look on YouTube a ton of Toyota stories about the 2024 trucks one said total engine replacements I know the last thing I want is some reassembled leaking new truck it kind of defeats the purpose. Plus you’re getting less and paying thousands more for nothing just a lot of useless bling.

Lots of flatlanders on here. V6 won't pull a side by side trailer up the mountains here That’s probably right I pulled a 2000 pound shower from central SD to Central MO I about needed a tanker truck of fuel to get there had I gone over 55 MPH I’d need 2 tankers then. LOL

Where'd your math come from?
Why would it require burning MORE fuel to reduce emmisions? Thats the part these DS politicians and other green parade pushers don't tell you when they are pushing these policies to reduce emissions. The tell you its better,....until you realize how many more gallons of fuel you are burning
.
2001 GMC 2500HD crew/long bed with LB7 with original diesel fuel was 27ish MPG. Loaded it was about 22-23ish. Then the reformulated crap came along and the best I get is 21. Loaded is teens. Then get stuck in Iowa and buy biodiesel and it drops to 17 and barely 10-12 loaded. I'm sure you are competent enough to figure out percentages. If I'm hauling my equipment trailer 1200 miles and get 12 MPG Vs 22, how many more gallons of fuel will I burn?? 1200/12 = 100 gallons Vs 1200/22 = 54.5. So if I burn 45.5 more gallons of fuel than I previously would have, how could I possibly be emitting less emissions????

The Toyota dealer tried to sell me several extended warranty options when I bought the truck new for several individual functions on the truck not just one policy for the whole truck I found that strange. Five different ones a just laughed and said NO!
