Bruce check your drops. I have a 6.5 PRC that is similar. You should not be seeing drops of 20” until close to 500 yards.

If you're 2.5 high at 100, you should be close dead on at 300.
There comes a point liberalism has gone too far, we're past that point.

I'm just hearing for the comments about .270wsm/.270win Seriously though glad to hear your liking it. Hate no one is really making brass for it as I would have gotten one for my magnum gun. But brass/ baren case availability is one of my top 3 criteria for a new round Lil curious is they named it something like the .270 O'Connor Magnum is it would have caught on a lil better though My biggest hold up with it is lack of selection for it in the heavier bullets. Great cartridge from what I've seen but going to fade away if the industry doesn't start chambering more rifles in it and making more bullets for it.

Those drop numbers look like something out of a 45-70. My 280AI drops 7 inches at 300 with a 200yd zero

seems like it droping way to much. Most People shoot Heavy Grain To caliber and accept that as normal Shoot lightest bullet made for Caliber and watch miracles happen. Less recoil and much flatter trajectory.

2.5 high at 100 and 2.5 low at 200 doesn't look right either. 2.5 high at 100 should still be a bit high at 200. Hopefully, hunting in Maine, your shots will be close until you get this sorted out. Very easy.Aim for low vitals up to 200 yards. Not much thinking there.

Less recoil and much flatter trajectory. While I don't disagree, I shoot what the rifle likes, not what I want. I have a 270 that I would love to shoot 130's in but the rifle shoots MUCH better with 150's. I have a 280 that will shoot anything you feed it from 140's up to 175's. Point of aim changes slightly at moderate ranges but it will shoot under an inch with most anything.
I have nothing clever to put here.
