2 1/2 year old. On our properties we try pass until 4.5, just us but kids and mom (86) shoot what they want. Mistakes do occur. Lol

Do they taste better at 4 1/2? I never let them live that long!

With older deer you have to age it well in a walkin cooler.Makes all the diffrence in the world.

It all tastes good to me. We harvest plenty of does as well for steaks roasts and burger. Mature bucks are sausage, bacon, snack sticks. Back straps and loans with onions and mushrooms.

I sat again last night and had this doe in front of me at 20 yards. I was hoping one of the bucks would follow. I have not seen any of them for two days now on camera.
If you look closely, you can see my legs and feet as I sit in my stand directly above and behind her nose.

There probably locked up with a doe but they will be back looking for love

Yep a typical 3 year old Minnesota buck as most people have said. The other one is a 2 year old.
