Thank you Tim for posting pictures for me again......I am soooo happy for my nephew,we called a local taxidermist a good friend that has done quite a few mounts for me and other friends,Wes is a cattle farmer who I just did some work stuff for him.Mick doesn't know it yet,but when he pays Wes for the work on his shoulder mount $174 50 will be paid already glad it wasn't a 330" non typical LOL....My oldest brother went up to the farm and brought our Dad down to see Mick's monster buck, our 87 year old Dad said,"Boy he's pretty big isn't he". After work today I will cape it out for Mick.CONGRATS AGAIN Mick I'm sooo happy for you!!! Dad,brother and uncle's have our work cut out for us,Mick's buck is 15 3/4" bigger than our largest rack and 14 lbs heavier than any of our bucks of the past.Willow Creek Hunt Club was founded in 1942,so this year is year 82,in those 82 years there has been over 650 deer harvested,in the 82 years of history the top 3 heaviest bucks weighed in at 253,252 and 252lbs Antler wise the largest rack was a 194 3/8" non typical 18 point drop tine buck shot in 1951.Ralph's buck the co founder of WCHC and Mick's buck was shot within 3/4 of a mile of each other.

Real nice deer for sure. There will not be many deer shot in ND today. 35-50 mph wind, gusts over 60 and snowing. A couple minutes ago I could hardly see the horse run by at 100 yards. Over 1/3 the state is no travel advised.

It snowed and blew all day. It stopped snowing about an hour before dark. The wind is down to 20-35 mph and it is cleared off. They are show 8 for the low but it is already down to 10.

Thanks SW,now our oldest member is my older brother,he's 62.I sure miss our founding fathers of WCHC.Ralph hunted until he was 84 and passed away at the age of 92.Ralph's grand son Jay has 3 kids and 2 grand kids that will carry on our club tradition when were gone. When I'm 75 years old WCHC will be 100 sure hope I'm still around to see that,God willing. One more day of work, then this Fri,Sat and Sun I will be able to hunt and finish off our deer season with one more deer, doe for the freezer.

Last day of work for awhile, nice cool down also 10 day forecast starting tomorrow highs in the 20's might get 2 to 4" of snow this Sunday.Starting tomorrow I get to hunt the last weekend without work getting in the way.One doe will probably make it's way into my freezer.Ran out of time yesterday to cape out Mick's buck and he was at hockey practice with his kids anyways so this late afternoon we'll take care of the that.Talked to Wes the taxidermist yesterday and he will take it,he only does 20 deer a year so he's done by the start of his calving season.

Good evening, work is done finally for awhile now I can hunt the last two days of our season. My oldest brother shot a deer this morning,a meat deer,I dropped Mick's buck off at Wes's places today,Mick will go there and put a down payment down and pick a form.I told Wes I was going to pay $175 of the cost,a dollar for every inch the buck had grown,I rounded up.Have a great evening I'm tired and need rest so I can hunt the last two days and set a coyote trap or two also.

Two more days of deer season here, set up a ground blind yesterday for my brother to see if the big 155"plus buck would show himself in the next couple of days.I watched him from a 1/2 mile on Monday evening along with 6 other deer.I'm heading back to the north swamp ladder stand again here in a little more than an hour.Good luck to all the hunters still out for the last two days of our season...
