Who owns one and what are opinions? Seems like a good budget type rifle for woods use. Thanks for your help.

Are they wood stocks or laminate?

I have zero experience with mosburg rifles but there was a very nice grain wood stock on clearance at rual king under 500 I was very tempted to bring home. fluted barr twisted looking bolt very eye pleasing rifle in 30/06. but I didn't know anything about them like where they were made and accuracy so didn't bring it home. Also I didn't want to add yet another caliber. I do hope it's gone when I'm back down there. I don't trust myself not to bring it home twice. I'm a sucker for good looking rifles and good value tops it off.

Now I don't know it it was called the patriot or not but if it shot as good as it looked look out.

Haw two patriots LOVE mine one two things. Either get the ones with the woods stock or buy a wooden stock or chassis system. The plastic stock are just cheap and flimsy don't I hard to get consistent groups with the one on my .243 if I don't do a bunch of nit picky stuff as far as setting the for arm just right ect . Boyds pro varmit stock took care of all that And the plastic mags kinda suck but other then that

I have a patriot predator in 5.56 that takes AR mags and a regular in .243

Had a fluted barrel, platic stock mossberg in 6.5 cm. Action was ok, stock was junk imho. Traded it off before i even shot it.

I've got a Mossberg Patriot, wood stock, 450 Bushmaster. Vortex Copperhead scope, 4-12x44.

I have a Patriot predator and my son has the patriot walnut stock both 308

I have heard complaints about them not shooting well , it hasn't been my experience, 1.5-2 inches with factory ammo at 100 yards, I load 180gr Speer BTSP they run 2625fps average over my Chrono and they shoot very well. for me better than the factory ammo.

I run a Midway brake on my Predator and you can watch the bullet impact through the scope.

I think they have a good bolt design easy to dis-assemble for cleaning

if you take it apart far enough that you are breaking down the ejector and extractor , do it inside a plastic bag , my son lost his parts to flying across the room as he didn't cover it , not realizing it would fly as it did.
they get you for 35 dollars for a spring , ejector and extractor.

Can you get one with iron sights I wonder?
