Pretty neat.Have found dead deer trapped myself but never a live one.That button buck would have died for sure.

That is crazy!

Not while deer hunting but trapping found a live yearling with its neck wedged in the forked trunk of a wild crab apple just high enough off the ground its front feet just touched ground but apparently high enough it couldn’t get up and out. Took awhile to cut thru one fork without it seriously hurting itself struggling for fear of me. Believe it or not looking it right in the eye and talking lightly helped a lot. Sawing didn’t. Minus a little hair it had enough strength to run away once it dropped free.

Seen an elk caught in fork of a tree. It was killed and eaten alive by lions and wolves

Found a toy next to a plastic coffee container. I didn't open the container. Just kept walking. Freaky considering where I found it. I wonder if it was a geocache.

Found a baby sock and a pacifier waaaaay off of the beaten path while bow hunting years ago. Hung a stand in the dark and noticed them after it got light. Actually called the game warden and had local police come out. They felt that perhaps crows??? had stolen them and dropped them off at a spot together. No missing persons reports, etc. Freaked me out.

Found a Coleman cooler with a dollar bill sticking halfway out of the closed lid. I was marking timber and had to go by a few times. Didn’t dare open the lid, just took photos and took it back to the FS LEO.

He suspected it was a meeting point for some secret “in the closet” rural meet-ups.

Tons of helium balloons! Everywhere I go. Anyone else find these.

Was way up a mt side in Idaho hunting one year and was thinking how wild and remote this place was when I found a Buick hub cap lying there on the forest floor. Can't imagine how that got there.

Not deer hunting, but when training for Grouse and Woodcock field trials one spring one of my pointers locked up. As I got to him he was not acting like himself. He would point then take a step or two forward then back off a few (usually he is solid as a rock) his hair was standing up on his neck and back. As I got close I noticed a child's blanket sticking out of a snow pile that had something wrapped in it. I stood there taking a long look before I headed to the truck and the phone. I grabbed the dog and headed out. After I walked away I just had to know so I went back and took a longer look. This time I got out my knife and cut a slit in the blanket. What a relief it was to find someones beautiful Black Lab. I spent some time dragging dead limbs and logs to cover it up better. Man was my heart pounding.

It amazes me how hard it is to get away from people.

I found a cooler along side the road. I stopped to grab it and opened it up and there was a big toe inside.

I stumbled across the remainder of a meth lab. a cooler and plastic bottles with air lines coming out of them. may have been more bit I went the other direction when I saw it. Would not have known what it was had I not been on a jury of a meth lab trial the year before.

My cousin was dove hunting on the Ohio River Bank. there was a road along the top of the bank and where it had a wash out was a blanket. on his way out he had to check the wrapped up blanket thinking it looked like a wrapped up body. as he un wrapped it it made a moan. was a man all bloody and beat to a pulp that had been left for dead . Cops and medical people came interviewed him and took the guy to the hospital. Zhe called to see if the guy lived but could not get any info.

ok maybe this is different than the shooting a deer from the porch question but

deer trapped , you have a tag for it , a shot you basically could not miss and bonus you don't get kicked in the head pulling it out.

I found an elk that had jumped through a forked tree and was caught just behind the front legs. Dead but still fairly fresh.

Another one. I was about a half mile off the road in the woods and there is a push lawn mower sitting there. Never could figure that out.
