I said just removing the food grade oil on them so they rust faster.

Most people don't know that you should clean the drain filter every month or sooner.

Now we are a home improvement site also.....

I just use the dishwasher for traps. Never gets any food clogging the filter. The trap oil just runs thru the filter with no problem. My filter is lifetime.

Thanks Bob for the info you posted about using mylar bags for shipping stinky stuff. Works great!

I have been using them for years now Paul.

Some postal delivery folks gave their customers notice about our stinky boxes and they made me aware of it. So I tried several methods until I tested the mylar pouches and found them to do a good job.

I also put a small piece of shop towel scented with spearmint oil into the pouches to help mask any possible leakage of odor. They aren't cheap but it may help us all down the road before odor restrictions are put into place.
