That should be a fantastic blanket! Your troubles are noted, just not as important as new life!
Act like a blank, get treated like a blank. Insert your own blank!

Couple more this morning. Got some more traps to check over lunch break
Funny story on one of these beaver. There is an awesome otter trail at the dam crossover in this small creek. I mean the right side of the dam is worn down to bare dirt from how much it is being traveled. I set a 330 at the top of this trail about 2/3 submerged and on the first night it was fired with nothing in it but a beaver front foot. My best guess is a beaver came to the trap and wasn't sure so he stuck his front hand through, and the Belisle held it. We all know how fragile beaver front feet can be so it didn't look like there was too much of a struggle. No catch circle, just a foot in the trap. I was sick that I had educated one and knew he/she would be hard to catch.
I put in a castor mound with a foothold right on a feed bed and had that beaver by the back foot this morning. Sometimes a plan comes together.

I finally got back out there as for the first time since before Christmas the rivers will start to come back down. It was mostly way too much water to find any places to set yesterday but did manage to get 12 sets in. Took my stepson on the line. It's the first time he's been out in the boat with me....he had a blast. He's talking about learning to trap himself.
We picked up seven nice beaver and a male otter today.

Well, my day got cut short. After my second set was checked went to start the outboard and discovered that the gear linkage had come apart leaving it in forward gear. Couple of miles paddling downstream to the landing and got the motor at the Suzuki repair shop now
Update: Just got a call. Boat ready to go. $191 OUCH! A nut came loose on the linkage and was replaced. One hour shop time.
