I’m shocked it took this long for an incident to hit the news. In my last years of guiding, I watched things get really bad. Unreal that people can’t get along

Lake MI harbors get a decent steelhead and Brown Trout bite. No fish is worth dealing with that

There’s been shotguns pulled out at a lake near our trap line. Garbage lake for fishing too. It the guys without boats trying to fish at the tiny boat launch that fight. Not sure where they were from, but not around here. When a local pulls a gun out, it’s generally getting used…lol. That’s why people are friendly out here.

Seen some heated conversations on the Mississippi river during bumper boat season but never seen a gun pulled

10 feet away? two idiots in that dispute. spoonbill fishing can get crowded. guys/gals take turns. about 10 minutes of it you need a little break. when it gets hot guy takes care of his fish and somebody else steps up. water is near flood when its good and takes awhile to land the fish. usually somebody will grab it by the beak for you. my grandson likes pulling them out for folks. Maybe more than catching them.

those Illinois guys Are lucky the other guy was apparently not a gun guy himself. They are likely used to being the only people armed. Pull that gun for intimidation and not intend to use it is a great way to end up dead.

I don't know a thing about ice fishing but is there not enough room to move if your not happy about rude people moving in or is it just finding a hot spot?

Seems like bone heads all around.

The guy was from Illinois. Not surprising. Those southerners come up here often and are rude and trash the places they go. Been going on for decades.

I don't get any of that

10yds is 30ft
Just how far can you run a lure around under the ice through a 6" hole?

Guy that pulled a gun needs beating within an inch of his life and his running buddy could use a roughing up too

If you are that hot headed you will soon run into the wrong person and find yourself meeting Jesus

CJ Brown reservoir in Springfield, Ohio is getting bad too, mostly from Somalis. A good friend of mine who was Special Operations in the Airforce and a friend of his, I know somewhat, who is a Ohio State Patrol Officer, stopped fishing there because they think they may have to arrest someone while fishing there or even use deadly force.

So avoiding it and leaving the mess for everyone else to deal with is the answer? Referring to the guy that's a cop. Seems like if there are known issues they should be addressed. Deadly force is a sure way of fixing a problem.

It sad when people get ran out of a spot do to poor behavior. I would hope the wardens would Crack down on that.
