I don’t know anything about it. Will it destroy jobs, will we become a completely robotic society, etc. I have watched AI generated videos on You Tube and could tell is was more robotic. The voice repeating itself was one flaw. Also, no obvious human emotion in the voice telling the story. What do you think. What are the benefits and down side of it?

I think it's entirely unnecessary. Harmful? Remains to be seen. I'm not sitting here manufacturing aluminum foil hats or anything, but I also don't think it's going to be a positive impact on our society either

Lots of potential in the pharma, energy, defense, engineering fields.

Also potential for misuse in the political realm

Lots of technology over time has eliminated jobs. It created jobs too. One things for sure, there's always change. A.i will be both good for some and bad for others. Like everything else.

I think AI is going to be both great and terrible for humanity. It would probably be better if humanity never created it. It would definitely be safer.

AI will make people evolve differently than they otherwise would.

What's concerning to me about it is the ability to replicate a person's likeness so convincingly. I've seen a few AI clips of celebrity personalities saying quotes and things that they absolutely haven't said. It could be done to any one of us too. That's a little worrisome to me

There are very obvious flaws, but soon there won't be. With better human editing, you can get rid of most flaws.

I've noticed that many of the Facebook Reels, that pop up in my feed, are AI now.

The way things currently stand that is like asking if a gun is good or bad. It is neither. It's all in how that item is used. It can be used for good or bad, depending on the person weilding the tool. AI does have the potential to learn and act on its own. This could potentially be very bad. None of us can completely predict the future.

Unfortunately I suspect it will eventually go the way if either one of two movies, The Matrix, or Terminator, all kidding aside I truly believe it could/can be a wonderful help in many fields. But knowing humanity and the fact that many countries/leaders are pure evil, I see things going very badly….. Look at what the pathetic Chinese did to us without its help, and we all know their propensity for being truthful….

Really depends on the use or of the development of the use for what ever, in my opinion I doubt it will be controllable after a certain level of change it goes through, once it becomes semi sentient than there's a problem forward.

If people think it will never become sentient they they have no knowledge about it to argue the fact.

Every thing now built or thought about will or can be changed with AI once it's firmly established, that is a bit disturbing
in the life of things on this ole pile of rocks we live on !
