Dad used to help them seagulls party. Boozy bread balls were a hit.

I have photos of grandpa holding up White Heads shot for bounty in the territorial days of Alaska.

When I was a kid you had to go to a zoo to see them. Now I just have to go outside. They are becoming a problem. My son nearly took one out with his car as it was recovering from a dive on a lapdog in somebody’s yard.

About the only LIVE meat they catch and eat is Fish, everything else is carrion, so they should not be any problem to anybody.

When I was a kid in grade school, a friend's father worked at Electric Boat in Groton, CT. At lunch they would sit on the dock. He mentioned cutting a cucumber in half and filling it with nuts and bolts and letting the gulls steal it. He claimed they wouldn't fly far before crashing and sinking. Don't know if it was true or not, but sounded funny at the time.

Knew a guy who was in the Navy and as entertainment on deck they would flip Alka-Seltzer tablets in the air and the seagulls would catch them and fly away. Claims were made that since birds can't relieve gas they would bloat in mid air and fly no more.

Balds are just everywhere.
Goldens, on two occasions while shooting in the west I saw them attacking antelopes. One from a long ways, once in a large wash I was going to call, sitting with the ranchers son.
We were getting set to call when 3 antelope does cam thru in front and below us. Thought we’d let them go by, see if there was any coyotes behind them. Suddenly a big brown flash from hi left and a golden slammed the back of the neck of the smallest doe. It hit, stayed aloft swinging out and up, the antelope which had tumbled over got up to catch the other two when a second golden we hadn’t seen slammed into the doe again doing the same.
After a couple more trips apiece the antelope stayed down and they were on its neck quick, hacking away. A little more struggle and it was over.

I have no doubt they do the same to deer fawns and possibly range born calves but I have not seen it first hand.

I have to agree with you on the fish diet the baldy wants first and foremost. I have seen on a couple occasions where a baldy has taken a small rodent but other than that they are carrion dependent.

The golden is a complete different character and will kill just about anything they feel confident to attack.

Here, the bald eagles harass the Ospreys so they drop their fish, then they eat the young ospreys and steal the sticks in the nest.... Ospreys made a huge comeback only to put up with the Eagles...lol

Many videos online of eagles killing deer, pronghorns , etc.. See them all the time here, just another predator/vulture .

They hang around geese all the time and the geese seem unbothered by them so apparently they don't kill the geese. ?

I was goose hunting and saw a eagle take a goose out while the goose was flying.

Have to disagree.I have seen eagles kill both healthy full grown geese and turkeys.
