First read the rules at the top of the Trap Shed forum. For best luck take clear pictures on your traps. They will sell better if you can clean them first by boiling them in log wood dye so they look nice in the pictures. Something like this makes them look good and buyers know you take care of your stuff and care about the product you are selling. ![[Linked Image]](https://trapperman.com/forum/attachments/usergals/2025/02/full-16258-247994-image000002_1.jpg) Divide your traps into lots if you have a bunch to sell. Put your price in the post with the most accurate description you can. examples: complete traps with chains, good user condition, strong springs etc... IMO it's best to put the price including shipping if you can so everyone knows up front the total cost. Keep PM (private message) communication open and prompt. Next check in VERY often. Look for the flashing envelope to indicate you have a private message. Read them and respond right away. Make sure the buyer knows where and how to pay you. Buyer should tell you right when they send the money and you should tell them right when you receive it. Do not ship the traps until you get the money, but when you do get it, ship them that day or the next business day at the latest. When you ship them get a tracking number and PM it to the buyer right away. The buyer should tell you when they receive the package. Shipping tips: Use lots of tape, way more than you think you need. Shippers ARE NOT careful handling the packages. If you box the traps, you can weigh the box and measure it, then you can go to whatever shipper's website you choose and get an estimate on shipping. I usually pick a NY zip code for the estimate so I get about the highest estimate I can get, and add that to the price of the traps so I can list the shipped price. If you have trouble posting pictures, PM one of the moderators at the bottom of the Trap Shed forum and they can help you. You can text them pictures to add or they can tell you how to do it.

Clean out your inbox if needed. Bob means members here have a PM limit of 100. You can delete any old unwanted ones buy selecting them and clicking delete at the bottom of the page. If you get to 100, anyone who tries to send you one will get a message that you have exceeded your limit and they can not send you a PM. So keep them pruned down to under 100 if you are trying to sell, because people are not allowed to reply to you in any other way per the rules of the trap shed (Rule #8).

For heavy items such as traps the flat rate boxes are cheaper. If you take the time to wire the traps set so they can't spring you can get more in a box.

Check you PMs. I replied to a wanted add 4 Jan and he has not read it. If he got what he want he should say so. If you sell your traps say so.

Bruce - if you use a shipping program like Pirate Ship, their rates often beat Post Office flat rates. Their flat rate rates are cheaper than the post office.
The post office (and thus Pirate Ship) has a rate called Advantage Cubic. It is a super good deal for packages under 1728 cubic inches and under 20 pounds.
1728 cubic inches is a box that is 12x12x12 or smaller. And it doesn’t have to be a cube. 15x10x10 qualifies. 20x12x6 qualifies.
Check it out for shipping small quantities of traps. Never heard of it.Don't think its around here.

Pirate Ship is nation wide. Google it.
No charge to set up an account. No fees. No nothing. Just cheap shipping. You have to be able to accurately weigh your package and print your own label. Pay by credit card every time you ship. They pick up the package?
