Bad weather is coming in a couple days so on the way to check I was thinking pull the traps until it passes. Once on the marsh I started pulling them but before I could get off the marsh I began to set them again. Not just set them, but ventured even further out onto the marsh in boots that weren’t proper gear in the event I missed a tuffet. Why do I do these things?

Frustrating currently. Still catching a couple here and there but not bringing them home. Since I lost the one trap I’ve been finding guts and half rats in traps. Been moving them around slowly working my way across but today I may have stretched it a bit. lol

What ya think is eating them?

Eagles? Otter? Turtles? Mink usually don't take them down to guts here.

I’m thinking a raptor took the trap. Fox probably eating them in the trap. I would think a coon would be strong enough to pull them out of the trap. We don’t have mink here.

Any blue heron around?

That wouldn't bother me much at the price they are now, but I had a death wish on an Eagle that ate three outta one trap when I was getting 15 bucks for xxl about 10 years ago! lol

lol same here hobbytrapper. I say I’m going to pull my line then I end up setting more stuff and spending a lot of time on it for the next two weeks
