We have had a bunch of rain in the past week and all of my beaver/otter sets have been flooded out. Water is finally starting to go down so I got to some of them today. This coke bottle was on a sandbar shining like a new penny.

Did a little research and it looks like it is from 1950 something. There may be some experts on here that know more than I do. Pretty neat find either way!

Found a couple of Coke bottles like that. Always an interesting find.

Have a bunch of those somewhere, even have the wood flat they were delivered in, probably all get thrown in a dumpster after I tip over, lol

Nice I picked up some off Chirkof Island Alaska at a old military communications site, from in the 1940's. The site was only open during the war and had 9 people stationed there.

Nice one!

I remember them well, the best drink ya could by out of the Water filled chest type coolers. Put your money in, slide it over to the corner and walla.

The old man had a refrigerated soda dispenser from the early 50's at his shop, you put a dime in the slot and cranked a handle and there'd be a cold coke in those small bottles behind the door.....worked for years until someone came by and stole it....was already a collectors item by 1970

I love that..

I've got some of those sitting around too that I picked from the river. One bridge job I dove on years ago. I could have filled a shopping cart full of coke bottles. I saved out couple dozen I figure to be the oldest. I've also picked up a few old bottles while trapping in river. My eyes are always looking for any treasure mixed in with critter sign or tracks.

Before I retired, I had a buddy who was a Coke memorabilia collector. He had bottles, ice and refrigerated coolers, tip trays, shirts and a whole lot more. He sold everything to another collector from Japan, who was opening a restaurant across the pond. There’s money in this stuff if you can find a collector.

Nice. I find old stuff when I go through old farm wood lots and homesteads. With permission, of course.

Very nice bottle I have a lot of old embossed bottles that I have uncovered over the years I enjoy digging bottles nearly as much as trapping I have a few that date back to the 1870's and one that is an open potica dating to the 1850 It is a cool Coke bottle in your pic And even though I have several hundred old bottles I would keep that one Warning digging old bottles can be and usually does turn into an addicting habit that will cause you to d o
unexplainable things such as digging through people who have been dead for 50 to 100 years junk Along with the digging comes the risk of getting stung by bees and other insects Glass and other cuts that can cause lock jaw and other serious medical problems I n plain words you don 't need to be crazy to enjoy bottle digging but it could result in that happening

I found a clear one like that in the river. It came from Emporia, VA. Clear ones are kindly rare.

I have quite a few boxes full of old bottles and cans, those little whisky bottles, and tobacco cans etc.

They still sell Coke in those little bottles. We bought a bunch of them for my nieces graduation party. Still tasty out of a washtub full of ice.

My parents owned a motel when I was a kid, had a pop machine that dispensed 10 oz bottles. Orange Nesbitt's was my favorite.

N.C. used to give you 10 cents for that. I bought a lot of candy bars scouring the ditches for coke bottles in the 70s.

Back in the day we would play "far away" with those coke bottles for a quarter at break or lunch. Had a map and everyone would see where the bottle was made and "far away" would win the pot. Not many bottles were to be found along the roads at home. They would bring 3 cents apiece at the country store and 2 would buy a nickel coke, with a penny left over to buy a piece of bubblegum.
