I would say the same about my dad practically word for word. The memories of fishing, hunting, trapping live forever in my mind. Can't help thinking we will meet again in a new and more elegant edition.

AMEN!! well said. I'm in the final stretch with my father. 4-1/2 year of in home care and now in home hospice. He's dealing with terminal restlessness and its time. Its hard to think of in the moment, but as time allows us to reflect, amazing the many memories will have for the rest of our lives. From the pics, it looks like he liked a full life of of adventures. Best thoughts to you and your family

Same here Bruce....dad gone 13 months ago .....not all that close , so not as much pain .....but still a shame

Bruce I can tell you the pain never leaves, but it does scar over more with time so you can keep moving in this world. I lost my Dad August 30, 2018 and his voice is still in my head, his lessons are still in my heart and hands, but he doesn't pop in for a visit and I can't swap stories with him anymore.

I can see his walk in the 3 boys that eat all the food from our house, I see him in their attitudes and actions, hear him when they talk. He is only here in pieces of things now, but he is still around.

Miss mine he's been gone 31 years this month.Only memories.

I lost my dad in August 8, 2018. 98 years old. His life and role model he set for me helped mold me into who I am now to a great degree.

I had him a long while and was thankful for my time with him. We all carry many traits and values from our parents. I was very fortunante to have the guidance and encouragement from him.

Lost Mom 7 yrs ago, and it never really gets better. But with each passing year I'm more at peace with things, and am better adjusted knowing She lives on.

Death isn't the end, it's the beginning...Hang in there Bruce.

Bruce, great pics and stories of you and your Dad. These things keep his spirit alive. Mom passed about 5 years ago and I still remember her and our family growing up together.
Thanks for the reminder of remembering the loved ones that are gone.
