Ain't nothin' to it. It's just a box you put a cage in and fittings to insert the gas in one end, and lets it flow thru and out the other side till full. Very safe and gentle.

You want it to vent at the top as C02 is heavier than air. The chamber fills from the bottom up and it does not take much of an opening to vent the air.

A friend of mine used a garbage 'toter' bin. Used it vertically.
Just put the cage trap in upright. Then dropped a hose to the bottom that supplied the CO²
It works.

Thanks, does it have to be air tight? I’ve heard you do not want it airtight so the air can escape as the co2 flows in As has been said, the oxygen needs to escape. I drill my hole about three inches from the bottom and figure that the chamber will not be air type so the O2 will go out the top.

I've got a home depot tote with 15lb CO2 cylinder. Regulator from ebay and hose piped into the tote. I have 2 drilled holes on the top of the tote at one end to allow air to escape while the CO2 fills from the bottom upward due to it being heavier than air..
The tote fits my largest traps.
Easy and inexpensive. $16 to refill at local welding supply company. It lasts a while.
Calculate how much flow you need based on the size of the tote and american veterinary medical association euthanasia guidelines, 30-70% of the chamber volume per minute...I cannot find the calculation at this time....

Take a look at the attached article. As Augdog11 said the measurements are in the article. Good luck. https://icwdm.org/management/euthanasia/carbon-dioxide/
