I used to use one of those coin purses to carry .22 shells in while squirrel hunting.

tlguy. you notice when rounding you always round up. And some of us like paying with cash. Yes I pay with a card more than I like since I don't get to the bank often or collect rent from the rent house that always pays in cash. Going to a cashless society I figured would be brought up. you can be locked out of buying and selling with the push of a button. That's the direction we are headed And if you enjoy freedom cash needs to be keep alive. Not even close to "always rounding up." For purchases ending in 1 and 2 you round down to 0. For purchases ending in 6 and 7 you round down to 5. So you round down literally half the time. I think someone from Canada posted that they always stop the gas pump on a price ending in 2 or 7 so they get that 2 cents of gas for free! Not a hard concept to understand is it. Our Canadian brethren to the north has been doing this for some time. Life goes on, the penny should have went the way of the dodo bird a decade ago. The Canadian use one and two dollar coins as well. Saving copper pennies is a waste of time.

Well at least one could melt them down and make jewelry, bullets or fishing weights, etc. I'm not sure what a guy could make out of a melted down bitcoin, should someone decide they are no longer valid, lol. If the dodo hits the fan are you going to be worried about casting bullets out of coins. That sure would spit in the face of pursuing life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.

If they eliminate them, I suppose everything like prices and sales taxes will be rounded upwards by a nickel. It will probably make a lot more money for States with sales taxes,
