I am about out of cousins. Aunts and uncles all gone.
Once in a while it doesn't hurt to walk through the old section of a cemetery. Much history just reading dates and ages.
Puts things into perspective.
A life time is actually a very short time.

It's interesting (can't think of a better word for it) that within just a few days after we bury a loved one, life pretty much carries on, still have to get up in the morning, pay the bills, do the chores, go to work, laugh and joke around, etc.. This makes me realize that we are actually quite dispensable.

Sorry for your loss. I have my Fathers funeral coming up and seeing a similar situation. Family is spread out over the country and hasn't been together in probably 30-40 years. Very doubtful I will see many family members come in - and many are already passed. As I called around trying to track them down, found out a few passed that I never knew about. Sad when family falls apart
