Never used it but there's a big following of 410's and tungsten shot users for turkeys, A pattern check is warranted though.

Thanks, I know there is a following, but I don't know if my "old" model 94 would shoot the loads similar to what these new .410 shotgun barrels. It would be nice to hear one way, or another, before dropping the cash for the TSS. I assume there is no choke options for my old .410.

On midway, Remington and Federal are $8.04 per round, Winchester is $7.00 per round, Fiocchi is $6.35 per round.
I'm not a cheapskate, but other than name, they appear to be indetiacal loads... I feel like I should get a few boxes of Fiocchi. Any thoughts?

My old .410 single shot breakdown that I have had since the about 1955 has killed turkeys with TSS. We hand roll our own and it shoots OK with the 3" chamber and full choke. The mylar inside the wad protects the barrel.

Robert, the loads you have mentioned are mass produced loads I would not recommend for your intended purpose
With your gun having a fixed full choke it is going to need all the help it can get with patterns. Check out the Foxtrot ammunition 1oz 410 load. This is what I would recommend since it is more of a small batch, hand loaded, specialty type load.
The mass produced loads really need screw in performance chokes to make them acceptable, in my opinion
Gotta live up to the nickname...

The Boy shot his first turkey with a mossberg mini in 410 full choke pattern wasn't great past 30 yards but we waited and he killed it at 11 yards. If you aren't picky about the bird you want and are picky about the distance I'd think you can be successful with a full choke .410 that said it was expensive to pattern and I know nothing about the OP's gun specifically.
Life sure is tough when you don't learn from the mistakes of others.

I have that gun. Mine is the hammerless version but I'd imagine the barrel would be the same. I'd love to hear your results but I agree with you, buy a box of the cheapest you can get, and see how they pattern. I imagine you can find some cheaper than midway's prices too. Walmart even sells them of various brands, scheels is usually cheaper as well and cheaper shipping if you want to go through the process. https://www.scheels.com/p/02089202911/?queryID=b7636f18dcd534eb097a8eb11af0a7dc - this says free shipping $6.60/rd.

Yes sir, I have killed 10 or 12 with the 410 now. Some of those with a factory full choke. The "cheap" tss loads will absolutely do the trick as long as you are patient with your shots. Just like the 410 lead shot loads will do the trick if you limit yourself to the range at which they pattern to. Just trying to give the OP the best chance instead of "settling" if you will. At the end of the day its 30 bucks more spent for a box of 10. I can think of much worse things to splurge an extra 30 bucks on, but absolutely understand if someone would want to settle for a mass produced load

There comes a point liberalism has gone too far, we're past that point.
