Lol. I remember years ago when one of the counties in Oregon had a bounty on coyotes (I think it was Lane County?) I was going to Oregon cat hunting every weekend, and the old guy that I was hunting with quite a bit always had an eye peeled for roadkills on the way. A time or two he would see one and whip a U-turn. One coyote roadkill would pay for a weekends worth of gas. And yeah, he didn't care where they were, but they got dropped off in the county that had the bounty as he went through.

Wasn't Lane county. Would have been either Douglas, Coos or Curry.

The new App should help keep it on the up and up, but I do know with their previous bounty programs, a lot of Nevada and Arizona coyotes fetched those dollars.

I’d heard snaring is allowed for coyotes there, am I correct?

ND talked about a $100 bounty that never passed. It was going to be residents only. I was contacted by two fur buyers, one from MN and one from MT wanting to know if I would sell their coyotes. Both said they would give me half. I am sure others were contacted too. That will give you an idea how a bounty works.

Bounties sure nearly exterminated wolves from the lower 48 in years past.

If I rode over there I’d bankrupt the entire state and mormans would become monogamous

If a $50 bounty wasn’t working, what’s to say $100 is gonna do it?

I was thinking a fellow could pay for a good.chunk or most of a hunting trapping vacation and have some fun myself. Especially if you had a nice thermal set Up. set traps and check them during the day and shoot them.at night.

Utah just doubled the cost of all their non-resident big game tags.

Must be expecting to pay out on a lot of coyotes!

They did your right but two other factors were in play on wolves. Denning is much easier with an animal the size of wolves, but the biggest factor was the use of poison. Bounty got people motivated, poison got it done.
