Snowy, I like that backlit light on his photos. Sunrise setting made some great photos for sure.

Great photos! When I was elk hunting in Colorado, we used to see them. One rancher where we hunted said they weren't much for eating, though.

Nice pictures Tray and Snowy. Sage grouse in ND are having a hard time. I blame it on habitat loss. They need sage brush to live.

Will be hunting them this fall in Wyoming. It’s going to be a fantastic family trip and I can’t wait Be nice to have one mounted.

I have seen them. Never shot one. Awesome birds.

Nice pictures Tray and Snowy. Sage grouse in ND are having a hard time. I blame it on habitat loss. They need sage brush to live. Same in MT and SD, loss of sagebrush, invasive grasses outcompeting native forage and west nile has all been taking its toll. It seems having cattle and sheep on their historic nesting grounds is of course tough but a bigger issue is the avian predators. Everything from magpies, crows, ravens, owls, hawks, eagles etc have learned to decimate the hatchlings. Wetter heavy grass/sage growing spring seasons are needed for cover. Guy I know in Montana has the perfect proving ground for that. His numbers are rising. Huns as well. Osky
