I guess Blaine County was not around for Carter. Debt needs paid. What is the alternative? Let the dollar collapse? Leave it for our grandkids to deal with? Raise income tax?
I say give it a chance. Lack of manufacturing has our country weak.

Thanks for posting this. I had a Democrat friend I work with that had TDS . We are both focused on investing ans late last night he started texting me with f Trump voter and picturs of the drop charts. I saw this and sent it to him got the typical excuses it's different becues my old retired parents ect .. Told him drops happen should have plans for them. It's been a good example of people talking the talk of drops don't bother me tell it happens then they freak out.

Trapperkeck, actually it has affected us. I run a small company that is a manufacturer using materials that are tariffed. I used to purchase domestically but the materials are not produced here anymore. We have been in business for 31 years. I purchase domestically as much as I can, however it is just not possible. This week we are being charged with the tariffs on key items that I used to purchase in Ohio. I cannot purchase them from Ohio anymore. It is easy to say to just switch to a domestic supplier but that does not exist.i had to increase prices substantially this week and new orders shut down. If this debacle continues, I guess I will tell my 24 employees they are expendable. Very sad. When things get tough like when two presidents banned my customers from coming to the U.S. for two years during covid, I like to comfort myself with these 9 words. "I'm from the government, and I'm here to help". Better know as" the nine most dangerous words in the English language."

Surely some on here remember the decline of American manufacturing. Clinton signed the free trade agreement,,,,,. Ross Purot who was running for president said "YOU'RE GOING TO HEAR A SUCKING SOUND AS BUISNESSES LEAVE THIS COUNTRY"....and he got laughed at. The decline of American greatness was disgusting. 1st the quality of products went down. 2nd then the price of the products went back up .....What took 30 years to destroy is probably not coming back. I support what the new President is trying to acomplish. But he has a long road ahead. You are right, it's not coming back. It never was. We were living what we thought was good, but we were on borrowed time.

What blunders did he commit by executive order that destroyed trillions of dollars of wealth in less than 90 days?

I see a number of countries are already lifting their tariffs. Luckily, you can get your tariff-free Nikes from communist Vietnam now.

Some manufacturing will come back,,
It will be automated/robotics and not huge mass employers,,,,,like in the past. Those days are gone
The world is going thru a huge transition
It’s going to be very different in 5 years
Hopefully that will free up the Union labor to pick lettuce and cucumbers.

Fruit/veggie pickers are going to affected by automation/robotics big time! So what can the guy on the corner do since fentanyl will be gone and/or the union guy making $40 an hour will be replaced by technology. They will have to do something to earn their bowl of rice ! I doubt the billionaires will give it away as government freebies.

Learn to code,,,lol
People are poor because they don’t produce enough,,, been like that forever,,,it’s not going to change
In the future,,,,successful folks will use robotics/automation to produce things/services

You first Blaine. Whats your plan to prevent a dollar crash by lowering the debt?

You first Blaine. Whats your plan to prevent a dollar crash by lowering the debt? His plan is status quo. The debt can't be reduced with our pain.
