So, we were in the market for a new vacuum. Absolutely, refuse to own another POS bagless model and wanted to go American made. We bought a Riccar brand. It was a tad expensive at a bit over $800, but it comes with a 5 year warranty and a service plan where the local dealer changes filters and checks machine over twice over the next 4 years. I'd never heard of this brand until yesterday. Seems like it's a quality machine.

We have sold Electrolux vacuums for 36 years now, the elux company is 101 years old, Kirby and hoover both started a couple years later. They sold the Electrolux name about 15+ years ago to the swedish Electrolux so they could put the name on the washers and dryers, fridges they made. The old Electrolux is now called Aerus vacuum, still made in Virginia. I started my carpet cleaning business 36 years ago, always used an Electrolux. They have a five year warranty, made very well. I used my vacuums every day in some very bad conditions , as far as vacuums go. I couldn't do as good of a job without the good Electrolux
One customer of mine bought a new one from me because she tried it out, she said she was buying two shark vacuums a year. We sold new vacuums over the years, customers traded in maybe a 30 year old elux and some of them still had the original power nozzle belt in them! Most still ran good, customer wanted a newer model. The swedish company also owned Beam Central vacuum and Euricka. And then they moved everything to Mexico. The Aerus/Electrolux has an upright vacuum, a couple canisters, and a central vacuum. I highly recommend the canister I use for carpet cleaning. They cost 1400$ but should last 20-30 years, still lower cost than a junk vacuum you need to replace constantly. I can send you one or you can Google to see if there is a dealer near you If any service is needed a store can take care of you, we pick up and deliver for our customers, the same for bags and ect

We've got a Carpet Pro commercial CPU 2T I bought online quite a few years ago. It's made by the same company that makes the Riccar brand. Chinese made

Over the decades it seems as though we've been through too many higher-end vacuums that would suck the chrome off my trailer hitch but we've settled on what we consider the best of the best when we went to Dyson's cordless vacuums! I have done the weekly vacuuming for some years in order to keep my arthritic shoulders loose and I found something and made a video that I feel I should pass on to those of you that own cordless vacuums and this appears to be the thread to do it. https://youtu.be/IqFO4Kpa9fI

Works good. Has worked good for thirty years. Only part I've had to replace is the on/off foot switch. I tell people all the time , find a 10-15-20 year old Electrolux for sale used. Still a good machine. Parts easy to find.
